A suspected Boko Haram bomb expert who was arrested in Ibadan after fleeing from the Sambisa Forest says many of their members have now flooded Lagos.   A suspected Boko Haram bomb-maker who was arrested by security operatives in Ibadan, Oyo State, has shocked his captors that his group has so many of their members scattered all over Lagos State. Tribune Newspaper reports that the suspect who was identified as Alkali , allegedly fled the terrorist’s stronghold in the Sambisa Forest in Borno State following their dislodgement by Nigerian soldiers and was captured in Ibadan. An Islamic cleric has taken it upon himself to trek from Abuja to Maiduguri anytime the Nigerian Military is able to capture the leader of Boko Haram. A 37-year-old Islamic cleric, Ali Ahmad has vowed to trek from Abuja to Maiduguri, the Borno State capital if the Nigerian Military can capture the leader of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, Abubakar Shekau . Ahmad who spoke at a prayer session organized by some religious bodies to render Boko Haram spiritual base useless declared that he would take it upon himself to trek the 844-kilometer journey to celebrate the Nigerian troops if they succeed in bringing the ‘heartless’ insurgent down. His promise is coming on the heels of the recent order by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai , to the troops fighting the Boko Haram sect in the Northeast to arrest Shekau within 40 days, either dead or alive. A new body of commercial sex workers in Nigeria has called on the Federal Government to legalize the profession to prevent the spread of HIV. A splinter group from the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes [NANP] called the Nigerian Sex Workers Association [NSWA], has called on the Federal Government to legalize their profession as this would curb the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. The newly formed body also believes that if the government should decriminalize prostitution, the incessant harassment they face from law enforcement agents would reduce while men who demand sex from them without using condoms will reduce. During a meeting of the association in Abuja, Amaka Enemo , the National Coordinator of NSWA, said commercial sex workers are law abiding citizens of the country and also pay taxes and as such, the profession should be legalized. Sabotage of oil pipelines may force Osinbajo back to N’Delta for fresh talks 6 hours ago Apparently jolted by Monday attack on oil facilities by men believed to militants in the Niger Delta, the Presidency has concluded plans that will see the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo, undertake another peace move to the oil-rch region. The pipeline attack, which forced Shell Petroleum to shut down its major oil facilities in Ogoni Land may need a visit of the office of the President to douse the new tension, said an official. It is speculated that Nigeria may lose an estimated 200,000 barrels per day as a result of the sabotage.
